Sankofa is an Adinkra word from the Akan people of Ghana. It means: go back and get it. It is the wisdom that in order to move forward with purpose, you must first return to what you know to be true about yourself.
This butter was made with that principle at its core.
Sankofa Butter is a rich, Reiki-infused body butter formulated to relieve the body from physical discomfort and restore it to a state of deep nourishment. The pain-relieving properties of unrefined shea butter, the cooling clarity of eucalyptus, and the skin-restoring intelligence of cocoa butter and olive oil come together in a formula that meets the body where it is and calls it back to where it deserves to be.
Every jar is hand-poured and Reiki-infused during the blending process with a single intention: that your cells remember their perfect state of harmony.
The Formulation
| Unrefined Shea Butter | Anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Softens, protects, and relieves while restoring the skin barrier with its full spectrum of natural fatty acids. Whole and unstripped, the way it was always meant to be used. |
| Eucalyptus Essential Oil | Cooling and therapeutic. Eases muscular tension, reduces inflammation, and improves circulation. Its sharp, clean aroma opens the breath and clears mental fog. The ingredient you will feel first. |
| Cocoa Butter | Melts on contact at body temperature. Restores elasticity, reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks, and seals deep hydration into the skin for hours. |
| Olive Oil | Rich in squalene, a compound naturally found in human skin that declines with age and stress. Replenishes what the body loses and soothes reactive or sensitised skin. |
| Vitamin E | Antioxidant protection in every application. Supports the healing of dry and damaged tissue and keeps every jar at full potency. |
| Reiki Infusion | Each jar is hand-poured and Reiki-infused with the intention of cellular restoration, ease, and return to harmony. The energetic work and the botanical work are inseparable here. |
How to Use
- Scoop a small amount and warm between your palms until it melts. The butter responds to body heat — you need less than you think.
- Before applying, pause. Breathe in the eucalyptus. Let it signal to your nervous system that this is a moment of care.
- Massage into areas of tension, dryness, or discomfort — joints, lower back, shoulders, feet, anywhere the body is asking for attention.
- For full-body hydration, apply after a shower while the skin is still slightly warm for deeper absorption.
- For targeted relief, apply generously and cover with a warm cloth for 10 to 15 minutes.
